St. Maria Goretti Old Girls' International
Canada Chapter
St. Maria Goretti Old Girls' International (GOGI) is a sisterhood of graduates of the St. Maria Goretti Girls Grammar School in Benin City, Nigeria, residing in Canada. We are truly a league of extraordinary women who believe in the motto — "All for One."

One Tree Cannot Build a Forest
Gogi Canada, as we are fondly called, believes in the unity forged by the same ideology and conviction that one tree cannot build a forest. Together with our fellow sisters moulded by the same belief in Love, togetherness, and comradeship, we build a better place for the girl child within us — despite our ages — in our communities and in our Alma Mater.
Learn more about St. Maria Goretti Old Girls' International in Canada and our mission: a sisterhood of graduates dedicated to uplifting our community and Alma Mater.
Established March 4, 1959
Saint Maria Goretti Girls' Grammar School was founded under the leadership of His Lordship Bishop P.J. Kelly of the Catholic Mission. It opened its doors as the premier secondary school for girls in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
Under the transformative leadership of legendary principal Rev. Sister Henrietta Power (1961–1984), the school achieved unrivaled academic status with 100% pass rates in West African examinations, establishing a standard of discipline and excellence that remains unshakeable.

Bound by the Same Belief
The values our Alma Mater instilled in us still guide the Canadian chapter today.
